Yesterday, we proudly joined the celebration of “30 Years of Cards, 30 Years of Piața Financiară” – a landmark moment for the Romanian financial industry.
Augustin Dobre, CEO SIBS Romania, took part in a forward-looking panel discussing the future of digital payments and how innovation continues to shape customer experiences. The discussion followed an insightful retrospective on Romania’s early journey – from the very first steps and the first cards that laid the foundations for today’s payment landscape.
We were honored to see Romcard – part of the SIBS Group in Romania – recognized for its pioneering role as the country’s first card processor back in 1994. This award highlights over three decades of expertise, trust, and our enduring impact on the Romanian payments ecosystem.
