Hugo Araujo, the new CEO of SIBS Romania
Starting April 7, 2021, Hugo Araujo is the new CEO of SIBS Romania. His purpose is to strengthen SIBS Romania’s position as a preferred partner for payment solutions and simplify the daily life for users in Romania and the region, by offering innovative and secured services.
Hugo Araujo has 20 years of experience in the payments market, and recently held the position of General Manager of SIBS International.

I am sure that all the experience gained during my 20-year career in the payments sector will have a great value for the development of the SIBS Romania business. The company has the most valuable asset, namely its team, with the help of which it has achieved great successes so far. I am sure that, together, we will achieve much more to offer the Romanian market and the EEC region the most innovative, secure and reliable payment methods, ”said Hugo Araujo.
Under the new leadership, the company plans to continue developing the existing portfolio of payment services, but also to invest in creating and implementing new digital solutions, based on SIBS capabilities and top technologies, offering customized solutions for each partner, both from the banking and retail area.
